If you plane lands in another country and you don't get off do you have to go throught customs?

I'm planning on taking a trip to Australia, however the flight i'm going to be taking stops in Papeete, French Polynesia for 1 hour. The flight is listed as no plane change however I'm wondering if i'll still have to get off the plane and go through customs? If you plane lands in another country and you don't get off do you have to go throught customs? If you don't get off the plane, then no.If you plane lands in another country and you don't get off do you have to go throught customs?
that's true..i was onboard a cathay pacific flight from hongkong to toronto and we had a stopover in anchorage, alaska. evyrone must leave the plane although theres no plane change, and go through u.s customs..where they ask for your passport and take pictures of you. but im sure its not that tight in french polynesia.. but sometimes, they dont let you off..when i was onboard cx from new york to hongkong , we had a stopover in vancouver and no passengers are allowed to leave the plane. it really depends on the countryIf you plane lands in another country and you don't get off do you have to go throught customs? If your final destination is other than what your stops are (saying same plane service or via on ticket) then you wouldn't have too. If you do require to stop over in cities to connect flights, then you need to find the transit or connection desk.If you plane lands in another country and you don't get off do you have to go throught customs?
The only country I know of that forces travellers in international transit to go through customs and immigration is the US. If you plane lands in another country and you don't get off do you have to go throught customs?for this long a stop, it wouldn't even be enough time to unload and reload everybody....cleaners will come on and sweep around your feetIf you plane lands in another country and you don't get off do you have to go throught customs?
no you wont have to. one hour is not long enough to do much. let alone go through customs
