save up for the next holidays. try saving for the mid year holidays, you may have to buy your tickets pretty late then which may be a little more expensive.

Airlines sometimes have weekend specials to certain destinations. Delta sends me weekend specials every Tuesday.



Or if the airlines are having a sale to say Dallas, both of you meet there and make a vacation out of it.
