Otherwise, tell her to take money for ear phones so she can watch the movie, and maybe a magazine she might want to read. She should wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
Good luck! :)How to be calm taking a plane for 6 hours?
Thank you and your sister! My daughter flies a lot and she follows those rules on every flight. Airlines are beginning to teach it to their customers too, after young women had problems! :) Have fun, sis!

How to be calm taking a plane for 6 hours?I've been on quite a few flights and learn more about what makes for a comfortable flight each time. Here are some of the tips I've learned over the years:1. Wear a short-sleeved shirt but bring a sweater or cardigan. The cabin can alternate between being very hot and kind of cold or drafty.
2. Bring gatorade or bottled water and snacks such as nuts and fruit, or trail mix. You can't count on the airline to get you enough fluids and munchies, and they often charge a fortune for food.
3. Activities to do: well if there is a hobby your sis is into that she can do on the plane, that would be great. I knit so it's a great way to pass the time. Some great things to bring are magazines she hasn't read yet, a book, a music player, a laptop if she has one, and I always like to bring a word puzzle book as well.
4. Make sure to go to the bathroom before you get on the plane. Who knows how long it will be before the flight takes off and the flight attendants might not let her get out of her seat until the plane is at flying altitude at least 1/2 hour after the plane takes off.
Of course if she just wants to sleep the whole time instead, her doctor can prescribe something. Nothing wrong with that. But flying can be really fun, especially the first time when you can see the earth below you out the window! How to be calm taking a plane for 6 hours?
I hope you don't think I'm being mean or rude here... but it's really the only answer.
You remain calm on a plane for 6 hours the same way you remain calm anywhere else for 6 hours.
Breathe. Relax. Drink water (not booze). Get up and walk when you can. Read a book. Watch a movie. Listen to music. Write in a journal. Sleep.
It's a cakewalk. How to be calm taking a plane for 6 hours?if she can get a window seat, it's a view of the earth that she's never had before. i always find something new, that i didn't realize was there.
sometimes, there's a cold draft. bring along something to stay warm, in case you need it. (but don't go overboard -- it ain't winter, just a bit of a draft.)
Bring along a couple of good books. Drink plenty of water because a flight that long will dry you out. Get to the airport early, check your bags, and walk around the terminal. Most large airports are like shopping malls and you can get so distracted, you almost forget you're IN an airport -- just don't miss your flight! How to be calm taking a plane for 6 hours?
Be real sleepy when you board. You will want to sleep more than anything.Don't forget to go to the bathroom first.Sweet Dreams.
bring a stress ball so she can sqeeze it when she gets anxious, try ot be very com, dont think bad thoughts it will get her tense, try to bring some music to listen to like an ipod or something, watch the movie the plain is showing, read a book, falling asleep is the best though. it will help ALOT so i highly surgest she falls asleep, and then when its time for her to wake up she will feel like it only took 10 minutes to get there. and she wont have worries the whole plain ride when she is sleeping.
good luck! How to be calm taking a plane for 6 hours?
relax. take deep slow breaths if you are nervous.
I think flying is fun maybe you will too.
and don't worry your chances are higher to die in a car accident than in a plane!
Bringing an Ipod, magazine, and trying to sleep like others said are all good ideas. One other thing that may help is try to get an aisle seat and look straight ahead. I like to sit by the window but when I get the aisle seat I usually forget the plane is even moving and it feels like you are sitting on the runway or something.
When my mom was first going on an airplane and needed help, and it was only a 2 hour flight, she went to her doctor. He gave her a medicine to help calm you down. Sorry, I don't remember the name, but if she just goes to the doctor I'm sure he'll know it. On the plane, she was completely calm and slept like a baby.
6 hours on a plane is nothing at all. Get your sister to go to a chemist and get some tablets that will relax her, possibly let her go to sleep.
Tell her to put her watch on the timezone that she is going to as soon as she gets on the plane so she will automatically be adjusting her body clock.
Just take a book, maybe an ipod and the flight will be over before she knows it.
She can take a book or magazine to read. She can watch movies on her laptop/notebook. She can have a few drinks (ie. alcohol) before boarding to help her relax, or during flight. She can ask her doctor for some sedatives to also help her relax. And finally she can see a hypnosis to remove the fear of flying.
6 hours only!try 2 1/2 days! some stuff to do is:
ipod
magazines
laptop
