What are the general regulations for bringing baby food and other necessary baby things on board a plane?

I'll be traveling with my 7 month old daughter next month and I'm unsure of the general regulations for baby food and other things necessary. I've flown with her before, but it was on a military Space-A plane and the regulations are different. I've never flown commercial with her. What are the general regulations for bringing baby food and other necessary baby things on board a plane? They will NOT make you taste it, as someone else suggested. Take however much you're going to need for the flight in your carry on, and you'll just have to separate it from the bag to get inspected through security. Don't stress over it.

Check your airline's website, I can guarantee they will mention baby food/formula.

If you're bringing a car seat or stroller, they'll let you bring it right up to the door of the plane and stow it for the flight. What are the general regulations for bringing baby food and other necessary baby things on board a plane?check the airline's website or phone them - they'll have the details on there. What are the general regulations for bringing baby food and other necessary baby things on board a plane?Every airline is different. In general, you are allowed to bring as much formula/milk and baby food jars as you want in carry on luggage, but they may make open each jar/bottle and taste it (they actually made my friend open every jar she had with her!). This is despite the fact that the latest info from the TSA says they no longer need to taste it:

SO I would just take what you need with you and and check the rest.

Most airlines will check strollers and often even car seats right at the gate for you. HOwever, that is something specific to the airline, so you should check with them. IN addition, one my friends flew Amercian Air and said that they will not charge you the standard baggage fee for checked baby items - a plus if you are bringing a travel crib, etc. With other airlines, you might look into upgrading to business class. Then you can often check baggage for free, and by the time you are adding in all the baggage fees to regular class, there might not be much different in ticket price.

The same friend I mentioned earlier said it worked out well for them to carry baby (9 mos old) in a carrier in the airport - much easier through security, etc. They actually did bring a stroller and used it to put the bags in, lol!

Also, it goes w/o saying that the fewer connections you have the better!
