How long can A plane stay up in the air?

Any plane. How much fuel does it carry, and for how many hours can it travel in the air? I've heard 20 hours, but I have no clue if it's true or not. I'm pretty sure It's more then 15 because I've found direct flights to europe that have a duration of 15 hours. How long can A plane stay up in the air?9 days, 3 minutes, and 44 seconds is the longest any plane has stayed in the air %26lt;%26lt;without refueling%26gt;%26gt;. They flew around the entire world, covering 24,986 miles with no stops.

Commercial airliners are much more limited. How long can A plane stay up in the air?Yes, of course there are planes that can stay in the air for more than 15 hours. I've been on flights longer than that. But most commercial airliners in service today can't stay up anywhere near that long.

There also is a maximum weight a plane can take off with based on aircraft type, runway length and altitude, and air temperature. I've been on a flight that could not take off from Athens on a hot day with enough fuel to fly to NYC, so we had to make a stop at Shannon for furl. How long can A plane stay up in the air?Military aircraft that has the capability of mid air refueling can stay up indefinitely. How long can A plane stay up in the air?
