What liquids and toiletries am i allowed to take on a plane in hand luggage?

I haven't been on a plane and years and am going on holiday next week (well excited!), just wondering what i'm liquids/toiletries i am allowed to take on in hand luggage? Thanks xWhat liquids and toiletries am i allowed to take on a plane in hand luggage?Liquid, aerosol or gel products must be in containers of 100 millilitres/grams or less.

The containers must be carried in one transparent, resealable plastic bag.

The four sides of the bag's sealed area must add up to no more than 80 centimetres (e.g. 20x20 cm or 15x25 cm).

The plastic bag must be the type that can be sealed and resealed with a sealing mechanism, like a sandwich bag or freezer bag.

Only one bag is allowed for each passenger, with exceptions for carers who may carry the bag/s of the people in their care, including children.

All containers must fit comfortably into the plastic bag and the bag must be sealed. What liquids and toiletries am i allowed to take on a plane in hand luggage?take the travels size ones , the ones that usually come with a travel bag, they are very small, but you cant bring anything liquid that is bigger than thatWhat liquids and toiletries am i allowed to take on a plane in hand luggage?Liquids %26amp; lotions in containers 100ml max.

Why is the vector cross product perpendicular to the plane of the two multiplied vectors?

the cross product of two vectors is perpendicular to the plane containing the two vectors. what does it signify? i mean it cold be anywhere, why perpendicular to the plane only. i know the right hand screw rule, but what is the meaning of it being perpendicular to the plane of the two multiplied vectors.what difference will it make if i take it in some arbitrary direction. or is it just a notation. Why is the vector cross product perpendicular to the plane of the two multiplied vectors? The right hand rule is a decent tool to use, but it does leave a little to be desired...

It's a matter of what the math below the term "cross-product" is. The main reason we have a process such as taking the "cross-product" of two vectors in a plane is to find the vector (usually used to describe torque) that results. So it's sort-of an intentional tool that we use.

I have a teacher that said several times that "the cross product is useful as a measure of "perpendicularness"้ˆฅๆ”–he magnitude of the cross product of any two vectors is equal to the product of their magnitudes if they are perpendicular. But if they are parallel, it scales down to zero."

If you check out the math of taking the cross-product of two or more vectors it gets a little complicated, whether or not your doing it algebraically or with matrices. The fact that absin(่ž›) may be used in some cases is more of a shortcut and isn't the entire mathematical process. Why is the vector cross product perpendicular to the plane of the two multiplied vectors? It is merely a definition used by mathematicians and physicists.

a x b = moda. modb. sintheta. n(hat)

is the axiom someone invented many years ago which is useful for some problems.

More complications arise when one realises that a x b is not really a true vector but a pseudo-vector but this does not worry a lot of people!

What should I expect from an air plane flight?

What should I expect from an air plane flight?

Ok so I have only been in a plane once, and it was when i was five. So I don't remember! What would I feel? Can I play with my Ipod on the way? What should I expect from an air plane flight? You just sit there except if you go to the toilet. Yeah you can play with your Ipod on the flight. Have fun :)What should I expect from an air plane flight?
Yes, you can play with your iPod, but not during take off, they tell you when you can turn it on, and then they tell you turn it off like 10/15 minutes before landing. I watched a film on my iPod last time I went on holiday, and it lasted practically the whole flight which was good lol (: They come round with a food trolley selling cuppa soups, biscuits, chocolate etc during the flight. Take off is fun, bit scary if you look out the window though lol but it's fine. You should take some hard boiled sweets to eat during take off, to stop your ears from popping. You can get turbulence sometimes, it's ok though. Your allowed to walk around during the flight, apart from when there is turbulence and during take off and when landing, but they will put the seatbelt signs on then. Make sure you bring book/ magazines for the times when you can't use your iPod. Flying is fun, I love it, you'll be fine :DWhat should I expect from an air plane flight? You can play your ipod once you are at 10,000ft. The pilot will announce this. Expect to not be able to use the bathroom, have some weirdo sitting next to you asking personal questions about your life, and stale peanuts and offbrand cheezits. They also have a crappy selection of magazines and a fountain drink of your choice come around with the food. Turbulence isn't that bad, nor is takeoff etc. May just be a bit different. What should I expect from an air plane flight?
When you get in as you know it is little seats. When you take off they will tell you to turn off ALL electronics. Do that. I recommended getting gum and chewing it when going up and down. Since the pressure in the cabin changes your ears pop. When chewing gum , your ears don't pop. You will hear a electronic whirl when you get up in the air , that is completely normal. You might experience some turbulence. I fly to Portugal so thats about 8 hours so they give us a break fast and dinner. The food isn't too great but it's better than nothing. You can bring food , but only food you buy once checked in and after security checks and i would not recommend you bring too much as you might not eat it. Also check what you can and cannot bring into a plane to make sure you do not cause any delays. other than that have fun and try not to worry. What should I expect from an air plane flight?Yes you can use your i-Pod but you have to wait until the pilot announces you allowed to do so.

When you take off, you will feel like your are being pushed back into your seat. Your ears are likely to pop because of the pressure, so make sure you have lots of water/lollipops/gum to help your ears.

Once you're in the sky it's fine and you can relax, read, sleep, watch movies etc.

Sometimes there will be turbulence. If the turbulence is particularly bad on this flight, the seat belt sign will light up, telling you to stay in your seat. Make sure you do so because it can get a little bumpy! Don't worry about it though, happens all the time (:

The food is...well... not always great so ensure you have a lot of snacks if you're on a long journey.

If you have a window seat, take advantage of it! Some of the views are amazing.

Have fun (:What should I expect from an air plane flight?
Well i agree with everyone elses comments about the flight, so i'm not going to repeat them (food sucks, ipod, turbulence, all that).

Security is awful (I'm assuming your from the US?). Its a super long line and you have to take off your shoes and go through a metal detector (and maybe a body scanner). Read about what you can and can't take on the flight (things in the bag you carry on). Only really small bottles of liquids (so try to put most of it in your checked bag, and don't carry water or any drinks. Bring money to buy some snacks (or at least a bottle of water) from the stores near your waiting area. You will get soda on the plane, but its easier if you just have a water bottle, especially if you get thirsty easily because the flight attendants don't come around that much and you might run out. You have to pay for the food on the plane, so just pack some snacks. If you are flying out of the country you will probably have to throw it out when you get there. The bathrooms aren't too bad on the plane (gross-wise), just pretty cramped. But its not too much of a pain to go if your relatively small and there isn't turbulence. And chew gum during takeoff and landing.

I think that, plus what everyone else said, is all you need to know. What should I expect from an air plane flight?
You can expect to die in a painful crash. NAH, Just listen to your ipod, read, talk to people, sleep, puke guts out because of motion sickness

How do I find a vector that is perpendicular to a plane?

Let P be the plane in space that intersects the x-axis at 1, the y-axis at -4, and the z-axis at -2. Find a vector v that is perpendicular to P.How do I find a vector that is perpendicular to a plane? The intersection information can be interpreted as the plane passes through the points (1, 0, 0), (0, -4, 0) and (0, 0, -2).

Okay, lets call these points A, B, and C. The vectors AB and AC (initial end at A and terminal end at B or C) both lay in the plane P. These vectors are

AB = (-1, -4, 0) and AC = (-1, 0, -2).

The normal to the plane has to be perpendicular to both of these vectors. This just screams cross product! A vector perpendicular to the plane is

v = AB x AC = (8, -2, -4).

You can take any nonzero scalar multiple of this.

  • What are ways to cure or prevent 'blocked ears' when landing or taking off on a plane?

Every time the plane lands, my ears get clogged up and it aches. I chew gum and plug my nose and blow, but usually these remedies don't help. Any suggestions? What are ways to cure or prevent 'blocked ears' when landing or taking off on a plane?I chew gum, but if they are really bad plug your nose and gentally try to breathe out threw your plugged nose. i know that sucks :]
Wait until you are completely airborne before yawning or chewing gum. What are ways to cure or prevent 'blocked ears' when landing or taking off on a plane?
    Sometimes yawning will help.
All the suggestions above are good you could also take a decongestant before your flight or get some earplanes. These have worked for me in the past. http://www.drugstore.com/qxp12445_332828้ˆฅ?/a>What are ways to cure or prevent 'blocked ears' when landing or taking off on a plane?
well i always chew gum. that really helps me. i know sometimes it hurts really bad!

If I buy a plane ticket and the price drops can I get the difference back?

If I buy my plane ticket and the price drops but I haven't traveled yet, do airlines refund the difference or do I just have to eat it? Thanks for all your help.If I buy a plane ticket and the price drops can I get the difference back?It depends on the airline. Some airlines will allow you to receive a credit for the difference without any fees being incurred, but others will require the change fee to be deducted from the difference first, meaning that you may not get any money back at all. (One of the airlines that requires the change fee to be charged is American, meaning that there is no incentive to get the difference back on most non-refundable ticket unless the price has dropped by a couple of hundred dollars or more.)

Orbitz is one of the major online travel agencies that has a policy of this sort -- if you buy a ticket from them and then someone else buys the same ticket for less, then you will get the difference back from them. If you bought your ticket from Orbitz, this apparently happens automatically, but it's not automatic with the airlines -- if you have this happen and you bought your ticket directly from the airline, then you need to contact them directly to see what their policy regarding refunds of this nature is.If I buy a plane ticket and the price drops can I get the difference back?
Most airlines that I have dealt with, Jet-blue and Usair especially, will give you a voucher towards travel within the next twelve months. They have never charged me a fee to do this and it has saved me lots of money over the past few years. Just keep checking the fare for your flights and then call them up to see if they can accommodate the new fare.If I buy a plane ticket and the price drops can I get the difference back?only if you use orbitz price assurance. Like say you buy a ticket for $300 and then i get the same one for $200, they will send you a check for $100If I buy a plane ticket and the price drops can I get the difference back?
You can rebook with some airlines. They usually charge a small fee ($25 ish) to rebook or change your flight, but if the difference is more than that, it's worth it.If I buy a plane ticket and the price drops can I get the difference back?Nope. It's just the way it goes. Airlines screw us. This happens to me all the time! Just book your flights and don't check the price later on.
Nope, but you might be able to request an upgradeIf I buy a plane ticket and the price drops can I get the difference back?
No. Why would they? They do not charge you extra if the price goes up.
I wish!!! Unfortunately no, they don't give you money back.. Or even a credit, but they should, right??If I buy a plane ticket and the price drops can I get the difference back?
    no

What is cheaper for a family of six, to go from texas to california, driving or taking a plane?

were going to california soon and were drving. but is driving and paying for all that gas cheaper then paying for 6 plane tickets? btw were leaving from texas. also i cant do all the math right now to fiugure it out so please help, thanks. What is cheaper for a family of six, to go from texas to california, driving or taking a plane?DRIVING is way, way cheaper, but you have to decide if losing 2 to 4 days of your trip due to driving time is worth the expense of flying. I couldn't drive that distance without an overnight break in the middle and I personally would not be willing to lose 4 days of my vacation. We will only drive up to 10 hours, which we can do in one day, before giving it up and paying to fly! There are 6 of us, also. What is cheaper for a family of six, to go from texas to california, driving or taking a plane?
driving. The breakeven is 2 airline ticketsWhat is cheaper for a family of six, to go from texas to california, driving or taking a plane?driving is cheaper. you figure gas is $3 a gallon. and depending on where it is its around 1500 miles. What is cheaper for a family of six, to go from texas to california, driving or taking a plane?
There comes a point where the dollar advantages changes to driving I think that it may be around 4 people

    The math

    HOU%26gt;LAX 1600mi x2 =3200mi @25 mpg=128 gal@ $3.00gal= $ 384.00

    8 guest nights in Motel 6 @ $ 40.00 per night =$ 320.00

How did i get the 8 guest nite #

You need 2 rooms per night and you are going to spend 2 nights in motels on both your EB %26amp; WB legs

    Subtotal $ 704 .00

    Then comes the food expense

I don't think that it would be unreasonable to use a figure of $ 20.00 per person per day as ball park number

    So 2.5 days EB +2.5 days WB = 5 days @ $ 120.00 per day = $ 600.00+ 704 =$ 1304

You can obviously save some money by reducing the number of days on the road But realistically speaking large numbers of people don't make it easy to drive 800-900 miles a day two days in a row

Another thing that can and does save you money on flights is what airports you fly into and out of

So if you gotta drive a couple of hundred miles to DFW or HOU it may be worth it in the long runWhat is cheaper for a family of six, to go from texas to california, driving or taking a plane?Depends on where your going. Buy far enough in advance and its $49 one way. Driving will still be less but whats your sanity and time worth.
