How do I go about getting a plane ticket??

I'm not sure exactly how to get a plane ticket. I'd like to know how and who exactly to ask about it. I'd aprecciate any help on this! I want to go see my girlfriend in the next couple of months and I need to know how to buy a plane ticket!How do I go about getting a plane ticket??Most airlines you can buy your ticket right on line. You need to know the name of the largest airport closest to where you want to go because the airlines do not fly to every city. You also need to know what airlines serve that city, like American, United, Southwest.



You will need a credit card to reserve your ticket and pay for it; some lines will let you reserve and then you have 24 hours to go to the airport to pay and pick up your ticket.



If you reserve online they do not issue you a paper ticket but a reservation number. When you reserve you print the reservation information so you can take it with you to the airport. At the airport you show the reservation and your photo ID and they give you a pass to get through security so you can board the plane.
