I don't mind flying but my wife will not consider going on a plane. Travel Agents should be able to give you details about any holidays which don't include flying.

We went to Lake Garda year before last by coach and it was wonderful with a local pick up, no hanging around in an airport, no worry about parking. We stopped overnight in Northern France on our way, and in Burgundy on on our return. Plenty of "comfort stops" able to see all the scenery, refreshments available on board.

Also been to Amsterdam by coach and several trips around the UK



Have been on a couple of cruises - one to the Med and one to the Baltic.

Again so much less stress. I'd advise staying in an hotel local to the Port of departure to save even more hassle the day before.

One Cruise went from Southampton the other from Norwich.



If you're in England - why not a camping trip or small hotel in Northern France? We used to do that all the time when we had a young family.Where can I find out about holidays without flying on a plane?May I highly recommend taking a coach holiday to one of the European cities. It does depend o the age of your children, but it can be done.



I've been on a couple and actually really enjoyed myself. Careful though, some expect you to arrive at your destination by plane.

Why don't you have a stay-cation? There are plenty places in the UK where you can go and have something for everyone. Try this website, it is good for packages and hotel deals.
