How should I pack for a plane trip?

I've never been on a plane, and have no idea how to pack.

I've heard that shampoo has to be packed in plastic bags.

Why can't you use headphones on a plane during take-off?How should I pack for a plane trip? All liquids must be in 3oz. or less bottles, and any kind of liquid including make-up like eyeliner, lip balm, etc. must be separately placed in a plastic bag to go through security.

All domestic checked luggage costs between $20-$25 each way. All carry on luggage must weigh $40 pounds or less and be able to fit in the overhead bin or beneath the seat.

Keep in mind that you have to take off your shoes, belt, and sweater when going through security, so wear clothes that are easy to get on and off - you don't want to be the one holding up the security line. How should I pack for a plane trip?
NO LIQUIDS unless they are less then 3oz.s

Headphones and other elctronics interfere with the plane. I dont know how long the ride is but pack homework or bussness work

Pack a book

Gronola bar, u might get hungry

Have fun on vacay! How should I pack for a plane trip? There are no restrictions/plastic bag requirements for liquids in your check baggage. The liquid restrictions apply to your carry-on, and it's the 3-1-1 rule. Info here:

As far as prohibited items:

Liquids are restricted in carry on luggage, where individual items cannot be larger than 100ml (3.4 fl oz), all the details are contained in the 3-1-1 rule. http://www.tsa.gov/311/

As for headphones, it is not the headphones that are restricted for take of and landing, but the electronic devices that use headphones, or can affect the aircraft's systems, such as mobile phones, portable game players, laptops, mp3 players, etc..How should I pack for a plane trip?Yep, what they said about the liquids. I use the shampoo that the hotels provide or if I'm visiting someone, they don't usually mind if I borrow a bit of shampoo or body wash. The reason you can't use headphones during take off is that it is the portion of the flight that is the most dangerous. Most accidents take place during take off and if any emergency occurred you need to be able to hear instructions given by the crew. That is difficult to do if you are jamming out to your tunes. Every rule on an airplane has to do with safety and although some may seem ridiculous they really do have your best interest in mind. Happy flying!
