Hey guys, I have two, 5 hour plane rides coming up. Is there any way I can plug my laptop to anything on the plane? Do planes have wireless connection? Because my laptop has a wireless adapter. The only airline that does that is Virgin Atlantic, and they are only in the beginning stages of it.
If you laptop has a WIFI adapter, they will ask you to disable / disconnect it before takeoff. You can still use your laptop, just not to surf the internet. You can watch movies or play games...I usually bring a movie, throw on some headphones, and enjoy.
NOW, regarding what people are sure to say about how it doesn't effect the plane, this is true...the problem is that you can't get a connection when you are up in the air. The only reason Virgin Atlantic can is because they have built a special system for it.
On another note, most airports DO have free WIFI access, and places to plug in and recharge your computer, so you can do some internet surfing on the internet.
