I am flying to atlanta in april for spring break. It is going to be my first time on a plane.....Can you tell me what to expect and what to do to keep myself occupied? What are somethings to keep you occupied on a plane and at the airport?I'm flying by myself next month as well, and it will be my first time as well.
My boyfriend and mom have flown several times before, and told me to listen to an ipod or bring a book.
You could also try to fall asleep (but might be hard since its your first time) maybe draw, coloring book, bring a nintendo DS or any hand game things that you could play. Or bring your camera (especially if you have a window seat) and take pictures.
Maybe write a story, or just sit back and relax and day dream about your spring break trip :]
haha
good luck! and have funWhat are somethings to keep you occupied on a plane and at the airport?
Just expect you might be sitting next to a creeper. Just bring an iPod or a book to read. What are somethings to keep you occupied on a plane and at the airport?Depends how long the flight is, bring a good book, or an mp3 player or ipod, that should keep u occupied, and if its an overnight flight (whether its your first time on a plane) you could just sleep. I thought itd be hard to fall asleep on a plane but my second time ive ever been on a plane was an overnight flight, i took some bennadryl and fell right asleep! But if you chose to do that, bring a hoodie or a pillow to keep yourself comfy! Don't worry, its not as scary as u think it'll be! =)What are somethings to keep you occupied on a plane and at the airport?
if its a long flight you will be given movies too watch but i would bring...
Labtop:Movies,Offline games
Rubix Cube:Keeps you occupied
Portable Games
Books:twilight(a relly big book)
Homework
SLEEP:u will have a pillow and a blanketWhat are somethings to keep you occupied on a plane and at the airport?A good book
Magazines
Ipods are king as you can put the earphones in and block out any noise
Take a book to read or take your Ipod(keep the volume at a low listening, no one else wants to hear it), and always be aware of your surroundings(safety issue). Domestic flights are fairly short. What are somethings to keep you occupied on a plane and at the airport?
Arrive early to avoid the last minute rush. Have passport/identification papers at hand
Bring a book, laptop or portable gaming device... the wait at the airport can be very long.
The same can be said of the plane ride.
carry your I pod with you with collection of your favorite tracks or you can carry a game boy.
all the best with your first flight

Since it will be your first time flying, you'll more than likely be super interested in looking out the window. As for falling asleep, its not as easy as some say. I've been on a plane about 3-4 times a year since I was 5, and in all that time i've only fallen asleep once. If you get nauseous easily, I suggest keeping yourself busy as much as possible. If you sit still you can feel the airplane dipping and rising. Sudoku and crosswords are great for keeping you busy. Bring something to help you keep time (watch, ipod, etc), you'll be anxious to land after about an hour, and it might be a tad awkward asking strangers for the time. When the airplane lands you'll find everyone wanting to get off like its a race. Just relax and wait for at least half of the passengers to leave. Your overhead luggage will still be there, and so will your sanity.
