Call a few places in the phone book, as well... or even go through a travel agency. To go straight to France it might be costly, but chances are, if you don't mind taking detours or smaller plane rides here and there, the cost goes down. When I went to Japan, the flight was cheaper, because we went to Calgary, Vancouver, then Tokyo.
