I am confused!!
I am doing my homework and a quesion is asking me to find the dilation between TRZ to PAZ and give it a scale factor. It is a trapazoid on coordinate plane. How do I find the dilation?
And I find the scale factor by multipling the dilation by the z- and y- coordinates, right? How do you find a dilation on a coordinate plane? Is the dilation centered at the origin? If it is than a dilation is a mapping point (x,y) -%26gt; point (rx,ry). E.g., when r=2, the point is twice as far out, with the same polar angle. So oyu match up two points, one on one trapezoid, the other on the other trapezoid, then figure out the common factor. So, for instance, if the point T=(1,3) corresponds to the point P=(3,9) then the factor would be 3
