Does Southwest Airlines make you get off the plane if your flight makes a stop?
We are flying out west and our flight is stopping at Chicago-Midway. We do not have to change planes. Would Southwest make us get off the plane and go through the boarding process again, or would we be allowed to stay on the plane and pick new seats?Does Southwest Airlines make you get off the plane if your flight makes a stop?If the plane that you're on is going to your final destination when yous top at Chicago you don't have to get off the plane unless they ask you. Make sure you have ur ticket w/you if you get off b/c you will need it 4 re-boarding. You won't have to go back through security unless you leave the airport. You can only pick new seats if the plane isn't full.Does Southwest Airlines make you get off the plane if your flight makes a stop?Generally unless there is a reason to disembark passengers during a stop over, ie. change of aircraft, crew etc.. you will be allowed to stay in your original seats, and just wait for the new passengers joining your flight.
